Saul M. Rosen Fund

This fund was initiated in early 1989 following the tragic explosion of PanAm Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in December 1988. All 258 passengers died as well as 32 of Lockerbie’s villagers. Mr. Rosen, a graduate of WHS Class of 1971, was returning to his home in New Jersey after a business trip to London. He had a master’s degree in chemical engineering and owned his own computer software company. Sadly, he had intended to take an earlier flight but stayed in London for an additional meeting. Mr. Rosen was a brilliant mathematician. His math teacher at WHS said that in his 36 years of teaching, he would rank Saul Rosen among the top ten students he had ever taught. His family, along with his classmates, began this fund in his memory.
