Patsy Carisella served as Wakefield’s Sealer of Weights and Measures from 1959-1990, when he retired. He was well known as a leading expert on WWI and WWI aerial conflicts, and spent many years researching and writing books on famous and not-so-famous military people, including the “Red Baron”. A member of the WHS Class of 1941, Patsy was active in town affairs, serving as chairman of the Recreation Commission and as a member of the Crystal Community Club. This fund has a preference for a student studying history or who is an athlete.
