Nat Finklestein Scholarship Fund

This fund was established to honor long-time Wakefield teacher and principal Nat Finklestein upon his Retirement Testimonial Dinner in October 1990. He began his teaching career in Wakefield in 1953 at the Franklin School. He was appointed principal of the Greenwood School in 1965, the Yeuell School in 1966, and the Franklin School in 1981. Throughout his 37 years in the Wakefield school system, Mr. Finklestein was noted for his enthusiasm for education, instituting dozens of innovative programs for students, teachers, and administrators. This fund has a preference for a student pursuing a career in education.
