Mark J. Simeola Scholarship Fund

This fund was established in May 1999 on the one-year anniversary of Mark Simeola’s successful donation of one of his healthy kidneys to his close friend and WHS classmate, Paul Seabury, who suffers from diabetes. The Seaburys established the fund as a thank you to Mark for his gift of life to their son and brother who, in the year prior, had been on kidney dialysis. Mark is an attorney practicing with his father Mario in the Wakefield firm Simeola and Simeola. The fund has a preference for an eligible student who is attending Boston College, Mark’s alma mater, or an eligible student who is living with diabetes.
