Catherine E. Simpson Fund

This fund honors a former Wakefield Selectman. One of the early Directors of TSF, she brought the newspaper article about the Fall River Plan to the attention of the late attorney Bill Lee and the Chamber of Commerce President John J. McCarthy in 1959. The Fall River Plan was the original idea that started TSF nationwide. She was serving as President of TSF when she died suddenly in 1971. The fund has a preference for a student majoring in Government.
