Mr. Shelzi was co-owner of the Wakefield Ready Mix Concrete Company. He was also co-owner and President of Burlington Sand and Gravel Company. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy Seabees. He was a member of the 100 Club of Massachusetts. He and his brother Rocco were long time contributors to TSF, providing many scholarships to students majoring in engineering.
