Bella and Effie Rattray were twin sisters who resided all their lives in Greenwood. Bella was a longtime teacher at both the Greenwood and Hurd Schools while Effie worked for over 25 years for American Mutual Insurance Company. They were active in church affairs at the Greenwood Union Church. They left a bequest in their will to assist Wakefield students.
