“Officer Max” Ramocki Fund

Beloved former policeman known to all Wakefield school children, Officer Max served as safety officer and regularly visited all schools. Max Ramocki joined the Wakefield Police Department in 1942, served in the US Air Force, and was named a permanent officer in 1946. He retired in 1979. This fund was established by a group of friends, teachers, students, and fellow officers to honor his memory after he died in late 1982. His widow died in 1995.
