William T. and Ruth McDonald Fund

Bill McDonald was raised in Wakefield and established a funeral service at 19 Yale Avenue in 1952. He and Ruth were married in 1954 and had six children and many grandchildren. Four of the children work in the family business, McDonald Funeral Home, which has been a long-time supporter of the efforts of The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield. With the help of Bill’s sensitive and supportive manner, many bereaved residents have been encouraged to establish TSF memorial funds that will carry on the memories of their loved ones for years to come. Bill served as a TSF Board of Director for twenty-one years, retiring in 1999.
