William W. Cardwell, a graduate of WHS Class of 1972, was a young man with a 3-month old baby when he was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1985. His wife, Ellen, is a former TSF recipient herself and established the fund in his memory. The fund has a preference for the children of deceased parents or students who participate in track.
