William E. Jones Fund

Bill Jones has devoted more than twenty years of his life to the Wakefield chapter of The Scholarship Foundation. In addition, he has given a great deal of his money and talents to assist the students of Wakefield. A former president of the Wakefield TSF chapter and a National CSF Honor Roll member, Mr. Jones was formerly the business and financial editor of the Boston Globe. He and his wife lived on Lafayette Street in Wakefield for more than 60 years before moving to New Hampshire. Bill and his beloved Ginny celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 1996. He passed away at 100 years old on April 10, 2003. She passed away in 2004 also at 100 years old.
