Virginia M. Jones Fund

Virginia Jones’ husband and children established this fund in the summer of 1994 on the occasion of her 90th birthday. Mrs. Jones has been a devoted supporter of The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield since its early days. In 1968, when TSF had only seven permanent funds, she established two funds in memory of her parents: the Francis J. Smith Fund and the Maude Newhall Smith Fund. Mrs. Jones lived on Lafayette Street in Wakefield for more than 60 years before moving to New Hampshire. She died at 100 years old on December 9, 2004.
