Ronald J. & Virginia C. Martin Fund

Ronald Jude Martin, 70, of Wakefield died suddenly June 3, 2015. Ronald was born in Somerville on December 26, 1944. He was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. He later graduated from the former Calvin Coolidge College of Boston. He had retired as partner from the Complete Industrial Cleaning Company of Wakefield. Ronald had served as past President of the Wakefield Little League and had also coached for the Wakefield Little League and Wakefield Youth Soccer programs. He was a member of the Wakefield Knights of Columbus Council 104 and St. Joseph Church. He was an avid gardener of his tomato garden and loved to cook. Virginia (Jini) Martin, 69, of Wakefield died April 17, 2016 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Cambridge on June 25, 1946 and was raised in Watertown and Gloucester, graduating from Gloucester High School in 1964, and later from Fitchburg State College School of Nursing. She had a career of more than 30 years of Nursing at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Jini had been a Wakefield resident since 1975 and was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Wakefield Garden Club, Lucius Beebe Memorial Library Reading Club, and the Mary Circle of Manchester. She enjoyed travel and was devoted to her two children and five grandchildren.
