Mary G. Cronin Memorial Scholarship Fund

The faculty and staff at the Walton School established this fund following Miss Cronin’s death after a long illness. Miss Cronin came to Wakefield in 1956, graduating from Wakefield High School in 1962. She taught in Connecticut, and also in Germany and Japan for the U.S. Department of Defense before coming to the Walton School in 1977 where she taught third and fourth grades until her death on April 16, 1991. She will always be remembered for her love of children, her excellence in teaching, and her COURAGE. This fund has a preference for a Walton School Student.
