When the Kosmos Club disbanded in 2004, the money left in their coffers was disbursed to worthy Wakefield causes, including the establishment of this scholarship fund. The Kosmos had a long history of helping families pay for college. For 100 years, the Rose N. Whitten Student Loan Fund (1906 – 2006) of the Kosmos Club had been making small, interest free student loans available to the community. TSF was proud to carry on the tradition of serving the educational needs of Wakefield students in the name of the Kosmos Club.
