George and Ethel Koulouris Scholarship Fund

Ethel Koulouris established this fund in 1997 in memory of her late husband. Most well known for his involvement with the Wakefield Recreation Department and his support of youth hockey, George Koulouris was also very interested in many different aspects of life in Wakefield. He always shared his ideas and his suggestions, always with the primary objective of improving the quality of life in his beloved community. Ethel, who moved to Vermont in late 1999, was also active in the community, serving as a trustee of the Beebe Library and actively working with the League of Women Voters. She was also a past TSF director. Ethel taught school in Lynnfield for 20 years and was a leader in the Massachusetts Teachers Association. Her name was added to the fund in 2000.
