Alice Ryan was a former teacher in Wakefield schools for 45 years from 1902 to 1947. Born and educated in Wakefield, Miss Ryan received her BA degree from Boston University. Two of her sisters were also teachers. This fund was established with funds provided by a bequest in her will.
