Mr. Connolly’s son, upon Mr. Connolly’s death, initiated this fund in 1989. Through the generosity of his many friends and associates, the fund quickly became permanent. He was an educator by profession and served as the Superintendent/Director at Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School until 1980 when he retired. Mr. Connolly was also active in local organizations, serving as past president of the Rotary Club of Wakefield. This fund has a preference for a NE Voke graduate.
