This fund was started because Phil had a large amount of friends and teammates that loved him very much. In addition to being one of the nicest people you could ever meet, he was an incredible athlete as he starred in football and baseball at Wakefield High School from 1976-1980. So good in fact that he was the MVP of the baseball team. Phil passed away on June 14, 2003 at the young age of 41.
His friends would like this scholarship to go to a student athlete who played football and baseball.
