Peter A. Sokol Scholarship Fund

Peter Sokol was a Wakefield High School Junior when he died in a fire at his Greenwood home. He would have graduated with the class of 2002. Peter was one of eight children in the Sokol Family. It’s estimated that over 1100 mourners turned out to pay their final respects to Peter and his family. The WHS marching band, which Peter once served as a bass drummer in the percussion line, played outside the church where the service was held.
