Susan P. (Kulka) Smith Fund

Longtime Wakefield resident, Susan Smith died of cancer in May 1989 at the age of 37. She was a single parent whose optimism never let her lose sight of her dreams. Three beloved sons to whom she was extremely devoted survived her. Her life revolved around each of her children’s experiences and achievements. Her sister, former Selectman and former Galvin Middle School teacher Judy Babb, established this fund in her memory. Susan Smith loved the poem “Don’t Ever”, the last lines of which are as follows: “Don’t ever stop loving, Don’t ever stop believing. Don’t ever stop dreaming your dreams”.
