William W. Russell Fund

This fund honors a WHS Class of ’60 graduate who died in 1961 of a kidney disease while a freshman at University of Massachusetts. He was a talented drummer and had his own jazz band. He was a student council member, and a member of baseball and basketball teams. A member of the class of 1964 at UMass, he was majoring in mechanical engineering and was a member of the ROTC Cadet band and the University Varsity Marching Band. A preference is given to students with interests in music.
