This fund was established immediately following Dicky’s tragic death in June 1994 in a bicycle accident with an MBTA bus. A popular boy, Dicky had just completed seventh grade the day before. He belonged to the Wakefield Youth Basketball Association and the Wakefield Youth Soccer Association. He had been working as a caddy at Bear Hill Golf Club, was a delivery boy for the Wakefield Item, and loved to fish in his spare time. He would have graduated from high school in 1999.
