Quannapowitt Yacht Club Fund in Honor of John King & Scott Foberg

The Quannapowitt Yacht Club was officially organized on April 14, 1895 and has been located at the end of Linda Road since 1947. Since that time, Sunday sailboat races have become a part of Wakefield’s history, taking place on Lake Quannapowitt each year from May through mid-October. QYC is one of, if not the, oldest inland yacht club in the country. QYC is especially proud of its Youth Sailing Program which has helped young people develop solid sailing skills, with an emphasis on safety and good sportsmanship.
