Lucille M. & James G. Queeney Fund

This fund was established in memory of Lucille M. Queeney, a resident of Wakefield for 42 years who passed away in 1997 at the age of 71. Lucille was raised in Warren, Mass, attended Simmons College, & was a 1946 graduate of the Mass General School of Nursing. While living in Wakefield, she was an active member of St. Joseph’s Church, & enjoyed gardening as a hobby. In addition to these activities, she and her husband of 48 years, James, raised four daughters & four sons, five of whom were past recipients of scholarships from The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield. James Queeney established this fund in honor of his wife shortly after her death.
