Daniel F. Blanchard Fund

Dan Blanchard served the Wakefield School system for more than 40 years. He retired from the Social Studies Department in 2004. He received the Freedom Foundation Award in 1988 for work on the Constitution 200 project conducted with Wakefield High students, who entered a contest about the meaning of the Constitution in modern times. He was most well-known as being the voice of the Warriors – he announced WHS football and basketball games. This fund was started in his honor. Dan served as President of TSF in 1991 and 1992 and served as a director up until his sudden death in January 2006.
