William J. Lee, a prominent attorney for whom the Town Hall in Wakefield is named, drew up the trust instrument that named the The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield, Inc. as a beneficiary of the Niland estate. Mr. Lee, one of the charter directors of TSF in 1960, announced the establishment of the Niland Fund at the 1987 TSF Annual Meeting. Mr. Lee’s son, also named William J. Lee, is a current director of the TSF in Wakefield, the oldest and largest such organization in the country.
