George H. and Alyce M. Morgan Fund

This fund was established by the five Morgan children upon their father George’s death in April 1994. His wife Alyce preceded him in death several years earlier. George Morgan, a member of the Wakefield High School Class of 1939, was a former President of the West Side Social Club, a member of the Wakefield Council of Clubs, and was very active in St. Joseph’s Church. He was named “Irishman of the Year” by the West Side Social Club in 1968 and also “Man of the Year” by St. Joseph’s Holy Name Society. Alyce, who was employed by one of the local banks, was active in the St. Joseph’s Drill Team Association and St. Joseph’s Parish.
