This fund was established upon William B. (Brad) Merry’s death in February 1992 at age 64. He was a member of the Wakefield High School Class of 1945 and a 1951 graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was the founder and president of William B. Merry & Associates, Inc. Architectural Engineers of Wakefield. A Navy veteran of World War II, Brad was very active in church and community affairs, particularly with the Wakefield Rotary Club. Because ice hockey was his favorite sport, this fund has a preference for a student planning to play ice hockey on the collegiate level.
