William D. Healey, Sr. Fund

A dearly beloved Wakefield figure, “Coach Healey” will long be remembered for his 42 years of devotion to Wakefield children through his work in the schools as teacher, principal, football coach, and also as the town’s director of recreation. He served on the WHS faculty for 27 years (1928-1955) and as football coach there for 16 years. He then served as principal of the Montrose and Dolbeare schools for 15 more years until retiring in 1970.
