Willard B. Atwell Scholarship Fund

This fund was established in memory of a former Wakefield Superintendent of Schools who served in that position for more than thirty years, retiring in 1947. The former Junior High School was named in his honor, as is the wing of the adjacent building. Mr. Atwell’s surviving children began the fund. All six of the Atwell children attended Wakefield schools.
