James O. Donnelly Fund

James P. Donnelly was born in Allston Massachusetts. A plumber by trade, he learned the trade at his dad’s knee. He was a great plumber at that. He and his wife Gertrude Chisholm Donnelly started Magee Donnelly Plumbing and Heating in North Reading. Jim was a wonderful and profitable businessman but at the young age of 48, Jim died. Jim was active in the Moose in North Reading and the building was even named after him. Jim was active in his parish, St. Theresa’s and donated much of his time and skills to the welfare of the church. His interests and hobbies were home and family and church. He was greatly missed and loved. They didn’t come any better!
