Frances R. DeFazio Fund

Frances “Frannie” DeFazio was for 40 years the proprietor of the Franklin Food Store at the corner of Franklin and Traverse Streets in Wakefield. She worked there until she was 80 years old, serving several generations of teachers and students from the Franklin School. This fund was established by one of her many “students” who stopped at her store for years on his way home from school. The fund has a preference for a female student studying business administration.
