He was also the loving father of Mark D’Apice and his wife Phyllis of California and Dayna Roberto and her husband Mark of Wakefield. He was happy to be a loving grandfather and great grandfather to nine children. Andy was a retired Mechanical Engineer and a late Korean War and Coast Guard veteran. Sophie M. D’Apice, age 85, of Lynnfield, formerly of Wakefield, died Friday October 26 at her residence. Born in Boston on July 20, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Louis and Teresa (Conzo) Caso.

She also enjoyed a career in real estate that spanned more than 40 years; 35 of which she spent at Century 21 Greers in Wakefield. She was a member of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors. Mrs. D’Apice loved to travel and she and her husband took many trips to Europe, especially enjoying time in Italy; they also spent their winters in Naples, FL.
