Born in 1980, Chris lived his whole life in Wakefield. He was about to enter the eighth grade at the Galvin Junior High School when he died in 1993. Artistically talented, Chris was a good student who particularly enjoyed mathematics. He was also an avid sports fan whose favorite sports were hockey and baseball. He enthusiastically participated in both Wakefield Youth Hockey and Wakefield Little League/Babe Ruth League. His jersey number (#99) has been permanently retired in the Wakefield Youth Hockey program.
