Richard H. Crabb Memorial Fund

Rick’s widow, as a memorial to his courage and determination, established this fund. While in his early 20’s, Rick suffered renal failure. At the same time, he was also diagnosed with an unrelated, but ultimately fatal, cancer. For the next 16 years Rick battled with daily dialysis and repeated cancer treatments while attending college and earning his college degree. He died in March 1989 at the age of 37. His widow established this fund to provide emotional support for those Wakefield students striving for a college education while overcoming physical and medical disabilities.
