Paul graduated from WHS, in 1961, and was Vice President of his Senior Class, lettered in football, indoor track and outdoor track. After high school, he went to work in a warehouse and shortly thereafter, joined the US Army Reserve. After his activity duty commitment he returned to work, took college courses in business in the evening for many years, while working his way up through inventory management, Inside Sales, and Resident Sales. He then married Theresa and had three children. He moved with Avery International to Philadelphia into his first management role, then to Cleveland, OH and finally to Atlanta, GA., where he has resided for the past 41 years.
Paul has volunteered with Habitat For Humanity in both helping to build houses, as well as assisting in their home owner education department. He has served as a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society as a case manager and also helped run annual Clothing and Food drives for many years, through his church.
Paul was past President of Redfield Swim and Tennis Club; volunteered with AARP Tax Aide for 4 years and as a part of that group was State Communications Director in helping to increase the public’s awareness and the benefits of their No Charge Tax Preparation service which was focused on Seniors, but served all within the guidelines of the program. He has been a volunteer driver at Icare-DeKalb , which provides no charge transportation for seniors, to and from doctor’s appointments in the area. Paul recently became a member of the Board of Directors of this Non Profit Organization.
Paul and Theresa have enjoyed personal travel to many different places and have been to Ireland, four times while working on a family genealogy project. All of that research resulted in his writing a McNulty Family history book which he had published and gave to his cousins and family. Paul has organized an annual McNulty Cousins luncheon in the Boston area for each of the last four years.
Paul and Theresa have three married children and five grandchildren, all of whom live in the Atlanta area, for which they are most grateful.
Paul will be forever grateful to the Wakefield community, his Wakefield High School teachers and coaches, fellow classmates and friends, all of whom contributed to his personal growth, during those formative years at WHS, which he believes, had a very positive impact on his life. This is his opportunity to give back and help other WHS Student Athletes.
