Paul Lazzaro Scholarship Fund

Paul Lazzaro was probably best known as Town Treasurer for the town of Wakefield. Paul was known as an expert in the financial markets. His ability to optimally invest town funds served Wakefield well for five decades. He died following a brief illness at the age of 80, while still holding office as Town Treasurer. Paul and his wife Jo traveled extensively around the world. He was an easy going, friendly man. He was very athletic, having been co-captain of the Warriors Football team in 1941. He also played football at Harvard next to Bobby Kennedy. Paul’s friendship with the Kennedy family would last a lifetime. He was described as a common man with an extraordinary background in the world of finance, government and among the people who touched his life.
