Manley P. & M. Helen Barber Fund

This fund memorializes a longtime employee of the Boston & Maine Railroad and his wife. Mr. Barber, who died in 1960, had completed 60 years of service to the railroad and was general freight agent at the time of his retirement. He was an uncle of the late Willard B. Atwell, for many years Superintendent of Schools in Wakefield. Mrs. Barber, a resident of Wakefield for 40 years, died in 1968. This fund was established by a bequest in her will.
