Madeline F. Lawrence Fund

A citizen of Wakefield who wished to honor this long time resident who served The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield for more than 20 years established this fund anonymously. As a Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield Director from 1973 to 1996 Mrs. Lawrence served on many different committees within the Foundation, most recently as historian, maintaining an annual scrapbook of each year’s events and activities. These scrapbooks have proved to be invaluable in reviewing past years and in assisting young Dollars for Scholars chapters with successful ideas. Mrs. Lawrence died in early 2001.
