John was born on January 17, 1968 and died on August 13, 2025. He collapsed while on the bench at a hockey camp. This fund was started by his friends at the Crystal Community Club in his rememberance. He played hockey in the Wakefield Youth Hockey program from intramural level to the midget level. In 1984, they won the Massachusetts State Midget title. He was invited to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. He was also a goalie at Hockey Night in Boston. His entire life, he was passionate about playing and coaching hockey. He was a coach with Wakefield High School, Austin Prep, and Saint John’s Prep.
