This fund was started as the result of a bequest from the estate of Jean Margaret Nauss, a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1944, who died March 11, 2016. Jean graduated Cambridge Junior College in 1946 and then Bates College in 1949 with a Bachelor’s of Science with a major in Biology. She first worked at Fertility & Endocrine Clinic, Free Hospital for Women in Brookline until February of 1957; after which she went to work for Hartford Hospital Cytology Lab until her retirement in February of 1992. Jean was a member of the American & International Societies of Cytotechnology. She returned to Massachusetts in 1993 and was active in the First Baptist Church of Wakefield.
