This fund honors a former outstanding Wakefield athlete and track star who was killed in an automobile accident in Vermont right after graduation from college in 1969. Fred was a member of WHS Class of 1964, where he captained an indoor track team that won the Middlesex League championship. This fund has a preference for a student who was an outstanding varsity athlete, preferably in track. His mother was an early TSF director.
