Edward M. Geragosian Art Scholarship Fund

Edward M. Geragosian, also known as “Mr. G” to many former students and colleagues, joined the art faculty in the Wakefield Public Schools in September 1972. For over two decades he offered a summer visual arts program at the Galvin Middle School known as “The Art and Knowledge Workshop”.

Mr. Geragosian was recognized nationally for his students work from The Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards Competition. In 1990 Mr. Geragosian was awarded a teaching fellowship at The Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI.

As a teacher, Mr. G saw himself as a young artist in his students and encouraged their creative growth inside and outside the art classroom. Mr. Geragosian retired from teaching in Wakefield in June 2007, but never from sharing his love of art and learning.
