Edward and Irene Schmidgall Fund

This fund was established to honor the Schmidgall’s 50th wedding anniversary. The Schmidgalls lived in Wakefield since 1959. Through their work as leaders of the Wakefield Unit of the Salvation Army, this special couple were known for their devoted and tireless service to people in need. Irene was also a Wakefield school nurse from 1960-1985 and Ed had been an active participant and leader of the Boy Scouts and as a member of the E.E. Boit Home Advisory Board. Both are also active in the First Parish Congregational Church, having been honored as Life Deacons.
