Daniel E. Ring Fund

This fund was initiated by Dan Ring’s sister along with a group of his classmates from WHS Class of 1963. A dance was held late in 1989 bringing the fund to permanency right away. Dan died in May 1989 of an inoperable brain tumor, leaving his wife and two young children. In 1967 he moved to Wakefield, NH but had strong ties to Wakefield, MA. His parents owned and operated Ring’s Garage on Foundry Street for more than 40 years. Dan was very active in sports, including baseball, football, hockey, and particularly golf. This fund has a preference for a student who participated in sports.
