Originally named the Florence E. Wilson Fund, this fund was renamed in 2016, following the death of Florence’s son, Leslie, and her daughter-in-law, Betty.
Florence was a resident of Wakefield for 30 years, making her home with her son, Leslie, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty”, on Mountain Ave. Betty served for many years as an active TSF Director.
During the 29 years that they lived in Wakefield, MA, Betty was active in community affairs. She was a vice-president of the Wakefield League of Women Voters, and president of the Wakefield Catholic Club. She served for three years on the Town of Wakefield Finance Committee. For nearly 10 years she was director and publicity chairman of The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield.
