Paul F. & Barbara A. Williams Fund

Paul F. Williams was born on May 17, 1936 in Melrose. He was the first of eight children of Charles and Catherine Williams. He married Barbara when he was in the Army during the Korean Conflict. They had one daughter, (Gerilynn) and one granddaughter (Alexandra). Paul worked in heavy construction as a foreman. He and his father built the family’s first home in Wakefield. He enjoyed all sports but the New England Patriots were his favorite. Paul was a loving and caring man who was devoted to his family and friends. He was the happiest when he was with his granddaughter. His faith in God helped him through many difficult days, including the loss of his son-in-law, Tony Amico, on March 26, 2003. His granddaughter decided to start a memorial fund in honor of her grandfather. He would have been pleased to be associated with such a wonderful program. Barbara was born in Boston on December 12, 1936 and grew up in Charlestown. She worked as a nursing assistant at the Greenview Manor Nursing Home for several years. Family meant everything to her. She passed away on October 23, 2008 after an extended illness.
