Wakefield Rainbow Scholarship Fund

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a service-oriented organization for girls between the ages of 11 and 21. In 1988, Wakefield Rainbow Assembly #43 celebrated its 50th anniversary serving the youth of the town. In honor of this milestone, the celebration committee decided to establish a scholarship fund so future Rainbow girls could receive assistance to further their education. Past and present rainbow girls and Rainbow adults worked for the next two years to raise enough money to establish a permanent Wakefield Assembly #43 IORG Scholarship Fund. The Fund continues to award scholarships to deserving young women of Wakefield yearly.
