J. George & Edwina Tucker Fund

One of the founders of TSF of Wakefield, George Tucker served as Treasurer for 16 years. He was a past President of the Chamber of Commerce who sponsored the musical, “Make it for Two” whose proceeds were earmarked as the first scholarship funds to be given to Wakefield students. Mr. Tucker was a member of the First Parish Congregational Church, the Golden Rule Lodge AF & AM and the Aleppo Temple Shrine. He was also a member of the American Society of Tool Engineers. His son Neal also served as a TSF Director. In addition, the company he founded, Metalcrafters, established their own permanent fund. The entire Tucker family continues to be generous supporters of TSF of Wakefield. Edwina Tucker was a 50-year member of the First Parish Congregational Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She died peacefully at home in August of 2004.
